Thanks for volunteering to coach our kids!

Thank you soccer coach

Coaches are the heart of youth soccer. Without you, the kids wouldn't get to have the fun that comes with the game, not to mention learning life's lessons about teamwork, effort, and all the rest.

We are here to support you. Here are some suggestions and resources:

1. Delegate as much as possible - all parents should contribute to your team and your season. Between your Team Parent and other parents, we suggest you find volunteers to coordinate everything from uniform issues to handling nets to snack schedules and the end of the year party. Your job is mostly to be with the players; the other parents need to support you so you can support the kids.

2. Attend a coaches' training  where you will get great ideas on how to organize practices; see the Coaches' Training page for schedule and registration information. These classes are available to you at no cost!

3. Check out the following links for ideas for practices, tactics, formations, and more:

4. Here's a great resource on positive coaching, an approach to youth sports endorsed by our Club: http://www.positivecoach.org/

5. Contact your Age Group Coordinator (AGC);
He or she can help you find an experienced coach to help out at a practice or two, suggest ways to work with difficult parents or kids, or provide other assistance.

6. Not yet a coach, but are interested? Please see Become a Coach page.
