Coaching Resources

Resources for Santa Rosa South Coaches

The Santa Rosa South Soccer Club recognizes that coaches are the key to players having success and fun. We offer support for our coaches in several ways:

Drill Handouts:
Go to our Coaching Drills page for helpful drills to use during practices.

Trainers: The Club can provide experienced trainers to run one or more practices for you, teaching your players and helping you learn by example.

Coach mentors: The Club has several experienced coaches that can help you in any area, from planning practices to working with difficult parents to identifying drills/games you can use at practices.

Expert Assistant: Karl Dewazien, who was the Director of youth soccer coaching in California for over 20 years and who has trained coaches all over the world, welcomes e-mails from our coaches and promises to respond. He will be particularly helpful to coaches who have taken the course on the 9 step practice routine. You can reach “Coach Karl” at cysakarl@comcast.net.

Books and DVDs: The Club has a library of books and DVDs available to help you. These include books on:
