Dear SRS Families,

On behalf of Santa Rosa South Soccer Club, although there are no words that can truly express our shared grief over what has happened to our town, our friends & our families, and so many of us that have suffered personal loss. We know that together, we as a community, SR STRONG will get through this unthinkable tragedy.

However in light of those that have lost so much, we have made the decision to cancel the remainder of our Recreational soccer season. All rostered players will receive awards, and I am SO THANKFUL to report that "all our teams/individual" pictures are safe and we will make arrangements in the coming days to ensure that they are delivered to all our teams/players.

Contact us at if you have any questions or concerns and/or, on our SRS Facebook page if you have something you wish to share.

Please keep all those that have suffered in your thoughts and remember that even if you are not in a position to help financially, you can support our community= BUY  LOCAL!

Last, but most importantly, KNOW that a kind word or helping hand goes a long way, as we, as a community, start the long process of healing/rebuilding SANTA ROSA!

Important Message from the City of Santa Rosa

As the school year and soccer season are gearing up, we’re hearing from more parents and coaches about concerns and issues in our City Parks.  I’m hoping you can pass along the following information to teams/coaches/parents to assist them in getting information to the correct people – which will help us in getting concerns addressed.

  1. Call the police non-emergency line (528-5222) to report illegal activity or problems needing police attention.  This includes drinking/drug use, sleeping/camping in parks, loitering around public restrooms, etc.
  2. Encourage everyone to add the MySantaRosa app to their phones (got to app store and download).  This is a great tool for reporting any issue happening in Santa Rosa.  It gets logged and sent to appropriate department immediately.  This could include illegal activity, broken equipment, vandalism, problems in the park that need attention, health & safety concerns, etc.
  3. Email and we will direct the concern/complaint to appropriate staff.

A few other reminders:

  1. Many of our parks/sports fields have neighbors.  Remind your players/families to be conscientious and respectful of neighbors so it does not jeopardize our use of the park.  This includes parking in front of homes, kicking balls against OR over fences, congregating near homes/fences, urinating on fences, etc.  Yes, these are some of the complaints I’m receiving!
  2. Let us know if your permit needs to be updated, so we have accurate dates and start/end times.  We are sending field monitors out regularly and expect Clubs to be on the field for the days/times they have permitted.  We don’t like vacant fields!  We are having rogue rugby, volleyball and Frisbee groups using unused fields without permits and we want to eliminate this!
  3. Not knowing when the rain will arrive, a reminder that we will update user groups through or field conditions hotline at 543-3474 by 1pm. To receive field closure update texts and/or emails, anyone can register on by clicking on the appropriate field closure link under the Play SR Sports section.  If no closure announcement is made, fields remain open and playable.
  4. Lastly, our park maintenance staff will be removing old goal sets from fields in late September/early October.  Clubs need to make sure the sets they have on the fields, are the ones we want to keep.
